Ben has served as a producer for 54 Film Fest Middle Tennessee since its inception as “54 Film Fest Murfreesboro” in 2013. Through prayer, hard work, and lots of love from the local film community, he has helped grow the festival from humble beginnings.

He has produced fifteen short films including ten for timed film competitions. His works have screened in theaters and churches and on television. He is a CPA and serves as Director of Accounting Services at Middle Tennessee State University. He was one of the founding members/owners of Escape Experience Chattanooga and Escape Experience Nashville.

Ben loves the Middle Tennessee film community and the spontaneous creativity that the 54 provides. He is thrilled to co-produce the Middle Tennessee festival.

Richard, a six-time participant in the 54 Film Fest, is entering his second year as a festival producer.

He has been a part of several award winning films within the festival, including producing and acting in 2014’s Best Writing/Story winning “Time Musheen”, assistant directing for fellow 54 Film Fest Producer Ryan Rehnborg’s 2015 Best Picture “The Rat King”, and producing, writing, directing, and acting in the puppet animated 2016’s Best Production Design winning and Top 5 Film “Chrona Templar”.

He is currently diving deeper into his filmmaking career, as well as kicking off a film scoring and voice acting career.

He is incredibly excited to help produce this year’s festival, and has big dreams for the future of the 54 Film Fest in Middle Tennessee.

A lifelong filmmaker and special effects artist, Ryan loves the timed film competition platform as a way to advance filmmaking at every level. Since 2009, he has been producing films, music videos, commercials, and more under the banner of Surly Urchin Studios. Ryan specializes in post-production, editing award-winning feature and short films, creating visual effects and motion graphics, and generally seizing every opportunity to use the keyboard like a wizard’s staff.

A repeat 54 Film Fest winner with titles like “The Rat King” and “Watch the Skies,” Ryan has enjoyed seeing the community grow and improve significantly over the years. Even while working full-time in production, he has relished his chances to escape into a non-stop weekend of breakneck filmmaking, and he describes the 54 as “skydiving for filmmakers” to anyone who asks. He hopes to help his fellow 54 Film Fest producers to provide a seamless and inspiring timed competition experience.

David is a four-time participant in the 54 Film Fest. He has left the participation to become a full-time producer and is now looking to afford the opportunity to others while creating networking opportunities for the community.

His filming career began in 2010 and nearly a decade later has participated in several festivals, projects and professional networking that has led to the filming of one full-length feature film, along with the editing of two full-length feature films, “If You’re Gone” (2018 – Editor) and “Be Still and Know” (2019 – Director of Photography and Editor).

He launched BreakAwayStory in 2016, his production company, and has created several projects, films, music videos, corporate and educational videos and looks forward to continuing to network and help others network in the industry through film festivals.

All glory to God for everything!
